positioned amidst medium height condominium buildings and old factories in the shirogane minato ward of tokyo, japan is ‘ravine’,
a duplex residence for a family and their elderly parents by japanese firm apollo architects and associates.

the plot is surrounded by medium-size buildings and apartments which is an architectural challenge to deal with sunlight.

the facade consists of the combination of glazed blocks, sharp sashes and top lights. the diagonal wall on the frontage shapes an unique proportion.
